Welcome to Bob Handles It. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Bob Handles It website and services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What Bob Handles It does. Bob Handles It is a personal healthcare-administration assistant. It helps patients and caregivers organize medical records, track appointments and providers, and handle routine provider communication (such as requesting medical records on your behalf). Bob Handles It is an administrative tool only — it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for professional medical care.
2. Eligibility & your account. You must be 18 or older and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may only manage records for yourself or for a patient you are legally authorized to assist.
3. Your authorization to act on your behalf. When you use features that contact providers, request records, schedule appointments, or connect outside accounts, you authorize Bob Handles It to take those actions for you, as your administrative agent, using the information you supply or approve. You remain in control: actions that send information to a provider are taken at your direction, and you can review and disconnect at any time.
4. Connected calendars, Medicare, & third-party accounts. If you connect a calendar (Google or Microsoft), your Medicare account (via the CMS Blue Button API), or another account, you grant Bob Handles It permission to access that account only to provide the Service — for example, reading your appointments to detect your healthcare providers, adding or updating appointments when you ask Bob Handles It to schedule one, and retrieving your Medicare claims to identify your providers after you authorize it through Medicare. We access the minimum data needed, use it only to operate the Service for you, never sell it, and you can revoke access at any time from your account settings or the provider's security page (for Medicare, from your Medicare.gov connected-applications settings). Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Our handling of your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Privacy. Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy and, for text messaging, our SMS Terms. Health information you provide is handled as described there; data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is restricted to you and the people you authorize.
6. Acceptable use. You agree not to misuse the Service, attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours, interfere with its operation, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
7. Fees. Some features require a paid subscription. Pricing, trials, and billing terms are presented at sign-up and in your account; you can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period.
8. No medical advice; no warranty. The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Bob Handles It does not guarantee that any record will be obtained, that any appointment is accurate, or that a provider will respond. Always rely on your providers for medical decisions and verify important details directly.
9. Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bob Handles It and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
10. Termination. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated or as required to operate the Service safely and lawfully.
11. Changes. We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
